Togetherness in everyday school life

Togetherness is visible in every part of the school day:

  • In classrooms – Children learn together, share ideas and support one another.
  • At playtimes (OPAL) – Children cooperate, build friendships and include others.
  • During routines – Warm welcomes and consistent relationships help children feel secure.

 

Togetherness through relationships and behaviour

Behaviour at Kingsway is rooted in relationships and mutual respect. We:

  • teach children how to build positive relationships
  • use restorative approaches to resolve difficulties
  • focus on understanding, repair and growth

Children learn that:

Togetherness and safeguarding

Togetherness is central to safeguarding:

  • children know there is always a trusted adult
  • staff notice changes and respond early
  • children feel confident to speak up
