Our History curriculum brings the past to life, helping children understand how the world has been shaped over time. Through rich stories and high-quality texts, children explore different periods, people, and cultures — developing curiosity and a deeper sense of identity.
We care about togetherness by learning how communities have worked, lived, and changed across history. At the same time, we thrive on difference, exploring diverse perspectives and experiences that broaden understanding and empathy.
Children begin each topic by sharing what they already know and end by reflecting on what they have learned, showing how we are inspired to grow as thoughtful, reflective learners. Through discussion, questioning, and enquiry, pupils develop a real passion for discovery.
History at our school is about more than facts — it’s about connection, understanding, and becoming passionate about learning from the past to shape the future.
