Safeguarding for Visitors & Volunteers

Keeping children safe is non‑negotiable

All visitors, volunteers, student teachers and supply staff must follow Kingsway’s safeguarding expectations.

What visitors must do:

• Sign in at the school office and ensure that any relevant documentation has been processed by the office staff
• Wear a lanyard and visitor badge at all times – if you are wearing a RED lanyard, you must be accompanied on site by a Kingsway member of staff at ALL times
• Follow safeguarding guidance displayed in school
• Report any concerns immediately to the DSL or in their absence, the DDSL

Volunteers, students and supply staff

All are:

• given clear and comprehensive safeguarding information on arrival
• expected to understand reporting procedures
• reminded that safeguarding concerns must never be ignored

Safeguarding responsibility applies to every adult on site.
